With over 8.8 million cancer deaths recorded globally yearly out of which an estimated 80,000 are Nigerians, the World Health Organisation, WHO, has called on specialists to pay special attention to early diagnosis of cancer, because most oncological diseases are curable, if identified early.

#Event: Buhari, Onu, To Attend 28 ECCIMA Trade Fair in Enugu

President Muhammadu Buhari and the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, will be special guests at the 28th edition of Enugu International Trade Fair. #Business: MTN Expects Annual Loss Due to Fine on Nigerian Subsidiary

MTN Group expects to report a full-year loss due to a $1billion regulatory fine in Nigeria and for under-performance both in Nigeria and South Africa, the company said yesterday. MTN had agreed in June to pay Nigeria a N330 billion (1.05 billion dollars at the time) fine for missing a deadline to cut off unregistered SIM cards from its network.
