Infrastructure: AFC secures N16bn Facility for Infrastructure Development in Nigeria, others

The Africa Finance Corporation, AFC, has secured a $100 million, about N16 billion, long term loan facility from the United States of America’s (USA) development finance institution, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), and the global investment banking leader, J.P. Morgan to support infrastructural development in Nigeria and other countries in the African continent.

Infrastructure: 80% of Nigeria Pipeline Network has Collapsed

Respite seems not to be in sight for the chaotic traffic situation across the country, especially on roads to the country’s ports, as the Federal Government, yesterday, disclosed that 80 per cent of the country’s 5,120 kilometers pipeline network for petroleum product distribution have been vandalised.

Industry Pulse: NIMASA DG Gets Tenure Extension

The Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) has put the total investment in Nigeria’s telecommunications sector at $40 billion (N6.4 trillion).

The BPE’s Director-General, Benjamin Dikki, identified the deregulation of the telecommunications sector and the participation of private telecoms firmss like MTN, Glo, Airtel, Etisalat, Visafone as some of the country’s achievements in the last few years.

Nigeria Ranked 170th in World Bank’s ‘Doing Business’ Index

The World Bank has ranked Nigeria 170th among 189 countries in terms of the ease of doing business.

In a report released on Wednesday, Singapore emerged the best country in the world to do business, while Mauritius was the best in Africa with a ranking of 28.

  1. The GMOs Bioafety Bill is not law in Nigeria and Dangote is breaching the law by introducing the GMOs tomatoes he is calling deceptively HYBRID TOMATOES. Nigerians should boycott all Dangote Goods for plotting with Bill Gates and Monsanto to introduce GMOs foods and Hijack the Food Security of Nigeria, hence Bill Gates/Blackwater are killing Nigerians under the assumed name of Boko Haram.
