Community Development: Chevron releases N800m for Community Projects

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR), Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) said about N800 million has been released to the Ilaje Regional Development Council (IRDC) since inception for the implementation of both infrastructure and non infrastructure projects areas of its operation.

Agriculture: NAPEP partners German Agency on Agricultural Resources

In its quest to improve on its core mandate of lifting the underprivileged above poverty level, the National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP) has entered into a partnership agreement with the German International Development Agency, as part of efforts to boost its agricultural support scheme to provide modern tools and capacity building for extreme poor farmers and those ready to embrace farming by improving them farm yields and productivity.

Health: Rotary, Gates to raise $35m for Polio

In its quest to step up efforts towards eradication of polio worldwide, Rotary International and its partners including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation hope to raise up to US$35 million per year through 2018. This initiative, the partners believe, is to build public support for the historic final push now underway to wipe out this disabling viral disease once and for all.
