Lagos begins 2012 Household Survey

As part of its efforts to sustain economic development in Lagos, the state Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget has commenced a welfare and service delivery survey to provide the government with information on the basic nature of economic activity, impact of government programmes / projects on various communities and the perceived constraints to growth and productivity in the state.

Lagos begins rice production to promote Food Security

Canada donates $18m for research

Canada has donated $18.45m (N2.86 billion) to boost research in health, the environment and agriculture.

According to the President of Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Mr David Malone, the researchers are aimed at improving the health of mothers and babies in Nigeria, to provide information in Nigeria climate change and to reduce the risk of flooding in the country.

World Bank commits $10m to Road Safety Projects
