RIVERS UNVEILS NEW TAX MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

Rivers State Governor Chibuike Amaechi has unveiled the state’s new tax management software, a joint venture with Skye Bank that automates and modernises the internal revenue collection and generation process in the state

Amaechi who was represented at the event held at the offices of the state Board of Internal Revenue by the state’s commissioner for Finance, Chamberlain Peterside, said that “revenue from internal sources should form an integral part of our own financial system”.

NIGERIA SECURES N34B AGRO INVESTMENTS

Nigeria secured about N34 billion investment commitments from 18 firms in the agriculture sector last year, the Minister of State for Trade and Investment, Dr. Samuel Ortom, has said.

CONSUMER COUNCIL BOSS LAMENTS 39% RISE IN PRICES

The Director General Consumer Protection Council (CPC) Mrs Ify Umenyi has lamented the rise in prices of commodities in the market.

BELL OIL TO INVEST N30BN IN DRILLING OPERATIONS

In its efforts to take advantage of the local content programme in Nigeria, Bell Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited has concluded plans to invest about $200 million (N300 billion) in drilling operations and services within the next 18 months.
