positive momentum, rise for fives straight days
Nigeria’s
foreign exchange (forex) reserves have maintained positive momentum this month
rising slightly for five consecutive days. Data gathered from the Central bank
of Nigeria (CBN) website at the weekend showed that the reserves derived mainly
from the proceeds of crude oil sale, climbed from $26.373 billion as at June 2,
2016, to $26.401 billion as at June 8, 2016.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) which measures inflation rose
sharply to 15.6% in May compared to 13.7 per cent in the previous month, the

British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation’s Cassava Enterprise Value-chain
Development Projects. A statement from the firm quoted the Field Supervisor
BATNF- International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Oke-Ogun, Olatunde
Ogunsanya, as saying that BATNF’s agricultural interventions had had positive
impacts on the lives and businesses of the beneficiaries.

The Lagos State Government has said
that it will continue to build the capacity of its workforce in order to

Lagos on Wednesday at a programme for science teachers titled, “Emerging Trends
in Methodologies of Teaching the Sciences.”
